Chiapas: Vaccination against COVID for 18 and 30 years begins

This Friday, the vaccination against COVID-19 will begin in the state of Chiapas for people 30 years of age and over, and in some parts of the state, for young people 18 years of age and older, reported in the Government Palace, Governor Rutilio Escandón Cadenas and the general director of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), Zoé Robledo Aburto.

  • The president mentioned that different centers will be open to receive the vaccine, both permanent and itinerant.

Where can I get the vaccination?

The general director of the IMSS pointed out that, It is planned to vaccinate against COVID-19 in 40 municipal capitals and 57 localities.

He stated that the strategy is divided into two parts:

  • The vaccination against COVID-19 For adults 30 years and older, it will be in urban areas, in the 40 municipal capitals, in areas like Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Tapachula, Comitán de Domínguez, San Cristóbal de Las Casas and in “all the places where we have large centers”.
  • The Immunization for people 18 years and older will be in 57 remote locations, through itinerant vaccination spaces, ejidal houses or rural medical units of IMSS-Bienestar who had not joined this immunization plan.

“We believe that with that we will meet the goals and, of course, we will all join forces so that next week we have a new arrival of vaccines.”

Chiapas President Rutilio Escandón insisted on the called to get vaccinated to avoid this third wave that threatens not only Mexico but the world, and said that we must not fall into excess of confidence and take advantage of the fact that vaccines are constantly reaching the state.
