The head coach of Ferencvaros Stanislav Cherchesov expects that the former Zenit striker Artem Dzyuba will decide on a new team in the near future, noting that not every club is ready to offer contract terms that suit him.
The 33-year-old striker left Zenit at the end of the season after his contract with the St. Petersburg club expired. Dzyuba keeps fit with the players of the Kazan “Rubin”.
– Artem Dziuba has been without a team for the third month. Do you keep in touch with him, are you interested in his future?
“The last time I talked to him was about three weeks ago,” Cherchesov told Match TV. – It’s a pity that he hasn’t found a club for himself yet, but it’s not always easy for a football player of this level to do it. He keeps fit at Rubin. I hope that in the near future he will decide on a new team. Here Magomed Ozdoev has already done this – he moved to the Turkish club.
All this is not done by magic: sometimes you have to wait, take a closer look. Dzyuba is a high-level football player, not all teams can satisfy his ambitions. He needs to be given time and not rush.
– You worked with Artem in the national team for several years. How much does it affect the team and the atmosphere in the team?
– We also managed to work in Spartak. He did what was required of him as much as possible, so we worked quite successfully together.
The media reported on the interest in Dzyuba from Turkish clubs. Last season, the striker played 39 matches, scored 13 goals and made 10 assists.
