The senator of the Plural Group German Martinez Cazareschallenged the brunette Ricardo Monreal Avila to make public the documents that the Political Coordination Board (Jucopo) or the Legal Affairs Department have issued regarding the appointment of an INAI commissioner.
Germán Martínez has previously disbelieved in the intentions of Ricardo Monreal to reach agreements with the opposition, among these precisely, appointing a new commissioner of the National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (INAI) that allows its full session
“That he make public the demonstrations, the writings that he has sent to the court, what he has sent to the Jucopo, to the Legal Department of the Senate, to see if there is a will to appoint the INAI commissioner. I challenge him to make it public and here everyone will remain a talker,” said the senator in his weekly participation ‘Por la Mañana’ with Ciro Gómez Leyva.
Germán Martínez explained that what he seeks to make known are the responses of the Legal Services and the Jucopo under the protection so that an INAI commissioner is appointed.
Ricardo Monreal Ávila has insisted that the Morenista senators voted against the proposal for a new INAI commissioner because their leadership has been undermined.
Germán Martínez also recalled that Ricardo Monreal assured Ciro Gómez Leyva that the Senate would act as a reviewing chamber and promised that he would resign from the Senate if something was reviewed on Morena’s side.
“He has just said that he insists that the INAI be integrated, Monreal lies, because all the promotions that go to court are to make pretexts, that he make them public (…) I challenge him: that what he told you here be smoothed out and accept it in the court where the process is in order for the judge to order the Commission…”, expressed Germán Martínez.
Martínez Cázares recalled that in his participation last week he doubted that Ricardo Monreal really had the will to appoint a commissioner.
“I do not believe in the cynical smiles that came out of the National Palace. I believe in transparency, I believe in accountability and that is what INAI is for,” commented Germán Martínez about the meeting of the Moreno senators with the president.
