The journalist and actress Celina Hernández debuts as a poet and presents her first book “Beating Hugs” this Saturday, at 6:00 p.m., in the Vila Ortiz room, of the El Círculo theater (Laprida 1223), in a meeting that will feature live music Zero Point and Ana and the Other.
“It is a selection of the large number of poems that I wrote in the last 5 years, in which I had great growth professionally, but personally various situations happened that affected me a lot. That is why the book has a very existential background. and introspective, there are deep and strong poems that question and impact. And the idea is that those who read it feel identified with those feelings and emotions,” Hernández told The capital about the book by Editorial Carpe Literario, whose prologue was written by Facundo Arana and the back cover was written by Víctor Laplace, whom he cites as “two friends that my profession as a journalist and presenter has given me.”

Hernández, who conducts the cycle of shows “De pantallas y telones”, from Monday to Friday at 2:00 p.m. on LT3, said that: “Sometimes I feel that I am a creative channel between the muses and the paper, which surround me and dictate to me the perfect words to express that world that lives inside us. Of course I also use the lyrical self to tell with various poetic figures the universal sensations that inspire me. Even thanks to literary devices and the use of metaphors, it is likely that some poems generate different interpretations and that readers imagine stories that may not be exactly what is being told, since they contain secrets.
“Saying what I feel/and feeling what I think,/the urgent need/to build peace is born within me”, writes Celina Hernández in “Desdramatizar”, one of the poems from “Tatiendo Abrazos”. And it’s almost like a declaration of principles of the author.
