Authorities in Mexico City announced that the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine will be applied for the following week for citizens between 50 and 59 years of age.
In a virtual conference, the Head of Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, explained that on Saturday it will be reported which will be the municipalities in which the second dose will be supplied, although she announced that among them is Cuauhtémoc.
“So, for people between 50 and 59 years old who are already vaccinated in their first dose for next week, we would start with the second dose for some of these municipalities (…) It would be the vaccination for Cuauhtémoc between 50 and 59 years old. In other words, we would also start the second doses of that age stratum ”, added the head of government.
In addition, the official specified that the demarcations that are contemplated are those that received the first dose of the vaccine Pfizer.
Vaccination against Covid-19 begins
Claudia Sheinbaum recalled that this Wednesday the vaccination of the population aged 40 to 49 years of the Álvaro Obregón, Miguel Hidalgo, Tlalpan and Tláhuac mayors began, where the goal is to apply 346,336 doses.
The doses will be applied according to the initial letter of your first surname and the following schedule:
- A, B, C, Wednesday June 9
- S, E, F, G, Thursday June 10
- H, I, J, K, L, M, Friday June 11
- N, Ñ, O, P, Q, R, Saturday June 12
- S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z and lags, Sunday June 13.
He recalled that the day of immunization of people aged 60 and over has already concluded, so that more than 1.3 million older adults are already vaccinated.
“Including teachers or educational personnel and also doctors, nurses, health personnel, in Mexico City 4.2 million vaccines have been applied,” he reiterated.
