The Hong Kong-based airline will start operations on August 4, 2021 with the Airbus A321 Neo. The first flight takes off from Hong Kong to Shanghai-Pudong. In August, Cathay Pacific plans to use the plane to Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Qingdao, Kaohsiung and Taipei. It has already taken delivery of four A321 Neo and will receive two more aircraft of this type in the second half of 2021. By the end of 2023, the airline will have a total of 16 A321 Neos in its fleet. The aircraft has a total of 202 seats, twelve of which are in Business Class and 190 in Economy Class.
