Borussia Dortmund is hoping to continue its impressive run of nine wins. With a win over fourth-placed RB Leipzig, the Revierclub could keep up the pressure on leaders FC Bayern Munich, who are currently level on points, and keep their pursuers from Saxony, who are four points worse, at a distance.
The duel between the two coaches Edin Terzic and Marco Rose increases the explosiveness of the game. Rose had replaced the then Dortmund interim solution Terzic as head coach at the beginning of the 2021/22 season, but was replaced by Terzic a year later at the Revierclub. Since taking office in Leipzig on September 10, 2022, no other Bundesliga coach has scored more points than Rose.
