Good news for his fans: British singer Ed Sheeran is back with a sixth solo album, Subtract,which comes out on May 5 and a European tour, including a date in the French capital, at the Accor Arena.
The 30-year-old explains on Instagram that he worked on this very personal album, where he evokes his fears and his depression, for a decade. “At the beginning of 2022, a series of events changed my life, my mental health and my outlook on music and art.“, confides the singer, confronted with the death of one of his close friends, Jamal Edwards and the cancer of his wife. “Writing songs is therapy, it helps organize my emotions“, he continues.
A video teaser published on YouTube shows the English superstar strolling on the seaside. On the sand, the names of the 13 songs that will make up this new opus are emerging: Boat, Dusty or Spark.
CUnreleased songs and his greatest hits will be to be discovered on the stage of the Accor Arena in Paris on April 2, the only French stage of a surprise mini-tour.
