For days, customers of the two banks have not been able to access e-banking if they use an Android device for authentication. As “Inside Paradeplatz” reports that the problem has existed since last Wednesday. Mobile banking on Android devices is also affected.
Affected customers must switch to a telephone hotline or go to the counter for urgent payments. Due to the disruption, there could be waiting times, the banks apologize for the inconvenience. Both banks are equally affected because Bank Cler is a subsidiary of Basler Kantonalbank. Both apparently use the same software.
While BKB mainly affects customers from the Basel region, Bank Cler serves customers throughout Switzerland.
