LA PAZ (Sputnik) – Bolivia resumed the construction of its first three nuclear medicine centers, a $ 150 million project that had been paralyzed since the 2019 political crisis, the government announced.

“The national government resumed the construction of the Network of Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy Centers after the de facto regime (Jeanine Áñez 2019-2020) abandoned the projects to the detriment of cancer patients,” said the director of the Bolivian Agency Nucelar Energy (ABEN), Hortensia Jiménez.
