“Given the facts of public knowledge that involve the player of our institution Sebastián Villa, we want to inform you that Club Atlético Boca Juniors has provided the justice system with all the documentation requested via court order to collaborate with the progress and clarification of the case“, reads the statement with the signature of Bravo.

“The Department of Inclusion and Equality has an interdisciplinary team, created within the framework of the Action Protocol in Cases of Violence Based on Gender, Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation, available to the complainant for their accompaniment and advice“, informed the institution.

Through the work we carry out on a daily basis, we seek to eradicate these behaviors and we will be consistent with it.. We consider it essential to once again provide this information publicly in order to ensure the seriousness and institutional commitment that we assume by expanding and creating new tools that allow us to advance in terms of gender and equality,” was the official message.

Bravo was the promoter of the Prevention and Institutional Action Protocol for cases of discrimination, harassment and violence based on gender and sexual orientation, approved in September 2021 in Boca Juniors.

According to Boca sources revealed to Telam, Bravo made his resignation available in the last hours after the public statements of Vice President Juan Román Riquelmewho publicly supported the professional conduct of Sebastián Villa, denounced for sexual abuse and attempted murder.

“Since we have been lucky enough to arrive at the club, two and a half years ago, we have nothing but words of gratitude (for Villa) because it has been two and a half years and he has never thrown himself on the stretcher, they have never treated him, Nothing has hurt him, he hasn’t stopped training for a single day. The truth is that we as a professional with that boy have to take our hats off. Afterwards, what happens off the pitch is another matter,” said Juan Román Riquelme about the Colombian striker accused of gender violence by two women.
