The company Tile, known for its Bluetooth accessories that allow you to find lost objects through an app, has become the property of Life360, announced this American company which offers a platform for locating users’ family members. The surprise acquisition for an amount of 205 million dollars is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2022.

Tile, a major competitor to Apple’s AirTag object tracker or Samsung’s Galaxy SmartTag, will continue to exist as a stand-alone brand despite the takeover by Life360. The company will also keep its boss CJ Prober and his team. “With the acquisition of Tile, we will now be able to provide a one-stop-shop solution for finding the people, pets and things families care about the most,” Life360 said in a statement.
