Blink-182, one of the pop punk bands, took everyone by surprise this Friday by announcing the postponement of their long-awaited UK tour. The news came when their drummer, Travis Barker, had to fly back to the United States due to an urgent family matter, right in the middle of his partner Kourtney Kardashian’s pregnancy.
The band issued a statement via Twitter saying: “Due to an urgent family matter, Travis had to return home to the United States.” However, the statement did not provide details on the nature of this emergency, but confirmed that scheduled concerts in Glasgow, Belfast and Dublin are indefinitely postponed.
The statement concluded with a promise to provide more information on the rescheduling of the tour dates as soon as it becomes available.
What is striking is that, shortly before the announcement, Travis Barker had shared stories on his Instagram from Glasgow airport, including an image of the prayer room with the phrase “Together we pray”. Later, he posted images of a stained glass window in a religious setting without providing further details about his sudden departure.
