The incident occurred at around 16.30 on the last floor of the 5-storey apartment building on 7444 Street in Kepez district, Waterfall District. Metin Sümer, who had been suspended before but made peace with his wife a while ago, started to argue with his wife Ceylan Sümer for an unknown reason. As the argument grew, Metin Sümer stabbed Ceylan Sümer, mother of four, repeatedly in the neck and back with a bread knife.
CALLING HIS RELATIVES SAID HE KILLED HIS WIFE
After the shouts, the children ran to the balcony and asked for help, while Metin Sümer called his relatives and said that he killed his wife. The neighbors, who ran to the apartment with the screams of the children, saw Ceylan Sümer in the room, covered in blood. After the neighbors called the 112 Emergency Call Center, a large number of police and medical teams were sent to the region. It was determined that Ceylan Sümer died in the controls made by the medical teams. The murder suspect’s husband, Metin Sümer, surrendered to the police teams and was taken to the police station to be taken into custody after he was detained by the Murder Bureau teams.
It was learned that the couple’s 4, 5, 7 and 11-year-old children were also in the house at the time of the murder, and the children were taken under protection by the police teams. In addition, Metin Sümer’s father RS, who came to the scene, was taken to the police station to be questioned by the teams.
HIS WIFE CAME FROM DIYARBAKIR 2 MONTHS AGO
In the examination of the teams, it was learned that Metin Sümer had a decision to remove him and that his wife came to him from Diyarbakır 2 months ago. The lifeless body of Ceylan Sümer, who was killed by her husband, was taken to the Morgue of Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy after the investigation by the police and the prosecutor’s office. Police investigation into the incident continues.
