Three people were injured in a traffic accident as a result of a medical emergency on the A8 between Pforzheim and Karlsruhe. As a police spokesman said, a driver in the middle lane felt bad early Friday evening. He then drove more slowly near Mutschelbach. A truck driver who wanted to overtake at that moment collided with the car. The collision threw the car into the left lane and crashed into the guardrail.
According to the spokesman, two approaching cars were able to brake in time. However, two other cars then collided with the stationary vehicles. Two drivers were slightly injured in the impact. The driver, who had previously been in poor health, was taken to a clinic. The truck driver was not injured. The spokesman initially did not provide any further information about the injured.
The cleaning work in the direction of Karlsruhe continued in the evening on the left and middle lanes, the spokesman said.
