After earthquake disaster
Gaziantep FK playmaker Alexandru Maxim has also found a loan spell in the top flight of the Süper Lig following Lazar Markovic’s temporary move to Trabzonspor. The 32-year-old Romanian will move to Besiktas by the end of the season. In the capital of Southeastern Anatolia, Maxim is still tied until 2024.
Due to the earthquake disaster in Turkey and Syria, the Turkish association has suspended league operations for the time being, and the transfer deadline has been postponed to February 18. The plan is to resume play on March 3rd and 4th. Maxim’s former club will not take part, Gaziantep has withdrawn. The city is located in the region particularly hard hit by the disaster. The same goes for Hatayspor. Both clubs are exempt from the relegation rule this season because of the special case.
Maxim played for VfB Stuttgart and 1. FSV Mainz 05 for a long time in the Bundesliga and 2nd Bundesliga. In 140 games in the top flight between 2013 and 2020, he managed 14 goals and 27 assists in the German top flight. At Gaziantep he has been one of the most dangerous Süper Lig professionals in recent years, scoring 43 goals and 23 assists in 115 competitive games – he has collected ten scorers in the current season.

Unfortunately, my Turkish is not so good for the linked scheme
