Towards net-zero emissions by 2050, in addition to saving energy, energy creation and storage are also required. This year, the Taipei City Environmental Protection Bureau launched the “Taipei Residential Community Energy Creation, Energy Storage and Energy Conservation Subsidy Program” for the first time this year, with a planned subsidy of 100 million yuan for residential buildings The community sets up energy creation and energy storage equipment to promote distributed power generation. The application period is from May 1 to July 31 or until the subsidy funds are exhausted.
The Environmental Protection Bureau pointed out that the subsidy objects of this plan are house owners and community management committees within the jurisdiction of Beishi. There are three subsidy programs in total. Each applicant or site is limited to one subsidy, and the subsidy amount for each case does not exceed the total construction cost of 49 % is the limit.
The subsidy object of Plan A is mainly the community, and the public areas apply for energy creation, energy storage and energy saving projects, and the subsidy limit for each case is 6 million yuan.
Option B is divided into applications for energy creation and energy storage projects in residential or community public areas (energy creation or energy storage solutions cannot be applied separately), with a maximum subsidy of 4 million yuan for each case in the community and 1 million yuan for each case in residential buildings.
The subsidy object of Plan C is also the community, and the public area applies for energy-saving projects, and the subsidy limit for each case is 2 million yuan.
According to different subsidy programs, the community can receive a maximum of 2 million to 6 million yuan per case; the upper limit of each housing subsidy is 1 million yuan.
According to the Environmental Protection Bureau, energy creation projects include renewable energy such as solar energy and wind power generation installed in residential or community public areas, emerging energy such as hydrogen fuel cell power generation, or self-use power generation equipment such as other zero-carbon technologies. Energy storage projects must be connected with energy-generating equipment, which can be used as daily or emergency power supply; energy-saving projects are mainly energy management systems or chilled water hosts installed in community public electricity.
The applicant must complete the operation no later than November 30, 2023, and submit the result report to the Environmental Protection Bureau for inspection. After the inspection is completed, the subsidy will be approved.
