Thursday evening, Julian Nagelsmann learned of his departure from Bayern Munich through… the press. Hasan Salihamidzic assured that it was not because of the Munich formation: “We learned that it had been leaked by a third party, which we really couldn’t do anything about. This person was surely on the other side (that of Thomas Tuchel, successor to Julian Nagelsmann, Ed) ”he explained in Sport1.
Sport “Of course terrible, but it’s not our fault”
The manager promised to have respected the former Bayern Munich manager: “I can only speak for us: we behaved very fairly – as fairly as possible in this sector. First we waited for confirmation. The first person we called next was Julian Nagelsmann that Thursday evening. I told him that we would have a personal conversation the next day – we don’t do that on the phone, it’s inappropriate, I think. I told him that we would meet the next day at the training center, and that’s what we did. (…) of course terrible, but it’s not our fault. We followed the process as it should. »

Hasan Salihamidzic also explained the reasons for Julian Nagelsmann’s departure: “The performances were no longer there. Since last March, we have had problems on several occasions. We’ve had phases – now it’s a situation. If this trend can no longer be reversed, a decision must be made. We took her for FC Bayern. We take this decision. (…) We had an excellent coach – yes. An excellent group – yes. But the performance was insufficient. He would also confirm it. » The sporting director also regretted some concerns: “There were some problems, some lack of discipline. Nevertheless, he is a very good coach. But it’s true: we had some problems. »
Thomas Tuchel has signed a contract until June 2025. As a reminder, the native of Krumbach has been free since leaving Chelsea in September 2022.
