Bayern Munich frustrates Barcelona over Lewandowski

Hasan Salihamidzic, sporting director of Bayern Munich, stressed his club’s rejection of the idea of the departure of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, who is seeking to leave for Barcelona.

Lewandowski spoke on more than one occasion about his desire to leave Bayern Munich and move to Barcelona, to confirm what the press reports said regarding the Catalan club’s desire to sign him.

On the other hand, the Bayern Munich administration confirmed its insistence on Lewandowski staying with the team, knowing that his contract expires in the summer of 2023, that is, the end of next season.

Hamidzic said in statements carried by the German newspaper “Bild”: “Does Barcelona offer a new offer for Lewandowski? I don’t think about it, I expect to see Robert in Bayern training next July 12.”

In addition to Barcelona, there was recently an interest from Paris Saint-Germain in contracting the 33-year-old Lewandowski.
