Balkans: Orbán destabilizes Bosnia to strengthen its regional influence

DSunday January 9, the Serbian Republic of Bosnia celebrated its thirtieth anniversary with great pomp under the gaze of Milorad Dodik, its secessionist leader wishing to break with the central power of Sarajevo. Viktor Orbán was not present during the imposing paramilitary parade organized in the streets of Banja Luka, the capital of Republika Srpska. However, behind the scenes, Hungary’s national-populist leader supports Dodik’s separatist aspirations politically and financially.
