At the beginning of June, Boston Server & Storage Solutions GmbH added a new technology partner called Storware to its portfolio, which offers a stable, agentless backup and snapshot management solution for virtual machines, containers, storage providers and applications. Storware supports multiple backup destinations for convenient data storage scheduling: local file system or an NFS/CIFS share, object storage (cloud providers), or enterprise backup providers.
With Storware’s backup component, Boston is able to combine different technologies with HCI, ensure an optimized VDI deployment and provide secure backup in diverse environments.
Features and benefits of Storware’s backup solution
Boston’s BIC HCI cluster and Storware’s backup solution are a good technological fit. The solution is particularly suitable for small to medium-sized companies. It can be easily integrated into existing infrastructures. At the same time, the backup area is being modernized to be protected against the latest developments in cybercrime and ransomware.
Even with the backup component, the Boston HCI cluster remains simple, scalable, robust, highly available and user-friendly. In addition, the user can derive the following benefits from the HCI backup solution:
- Extreme reduction in installation time
- Up to 70% reduction in ongoing management hours
- Up to 50% reduction in network problems
- Reduce hardware support costs
- Reduction of investment costs for systems
- Significantly faster recovery of normal operations after a cyber attack
“With Storware, we have found another partner to add the elementary backup component to our solution portfolio,” says Georg Klauser, Managing Director of Boston Server & Storage Solutions GmbH, DACH region. He adds, “Storware is a modern solution and very easy to use.”
Live performance of the BIC solution with backup component
Upon request, Boston will provide interested customers with their own demo system to test the solution for suitability and usability. Depending on the customer’s needs, experienced Boston consultants support the system test and provide technological support for the live migration into the existing IT infrastructure after the decision to use it.
Probably the “smallest” HCI and backup solution for the “edge area” can be found LIVE at the Imtop 22 on September 22, 2022 in the pyramid in Vösendorf/Austria. At the Boston booth, interested parties can take a close look at the demo system and Find out more about the solution personally on site In the Boston LIVE session at 10:30 a.m., the solution will be presented within 20 minutes along with its areas of application and technological highlights.
Further information on the technology partner Storware can be found on the Boston website in the partner area.
