The district of Braga will be under yellow warning on Thursday morning, due to snowfall, announced today the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).

According to the IPMA, snowfall is expected with accumulation on the ground above 1,200 meters of altitude, with light showers of snow above 1,000 meters of altitude.

Also according to the IPMA, the disturbance caused by snowfall and ice formation is likely, with restricted or closed roads, damage to structures or trees due to the accumulation of snow, and impaired local supplies.

The notice is valid between 06:00 and 12:00 on Thursday.
