After the Boston Red Sox on Monday, the Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros in turn qualified for the league finals on Tuesday in the MLB play-offs. Atlanta dismissed the Milwaukee Brewers by three wins to one (1-2, 3-0, 3-0, 5-4). In the final game, the Braves clinched victory over a home run by Freddie Freeman in the eighth inning.
In the National League final, they will challenge the winner of the series between the two best teams of the regular season, the San Francisco Giants (107 wins) and the Los Angeles Dodgers (106). The two teams are currently tied (2-2). The decisive fifth game will be played on Thursday.
The poster for the American League final is well known. Boston will face the Houston Astros, who took out the Chicago White Sox, three wins to one (6-1, 9-4, 6-12, 10-1). For the fifth consecutive year, the Astros are in the league finals.
