According to Vanity Fair, Armie Hammer entered rehab in Florida. The actor of “Call Me By Your Name” will try to cure his additions to drugs, sex and alcohol, following numerous accusations of cannibalistic inclinations and abusive behavior by former girlfriends. By entering this establishment, Armie especially hopes to have custody of her children following her divorce from Elizabeth Chambers, announced last summer.
A family friend told Page Six the comedian is “determined to be healthy and have custody of his children,” an ambition that could prove difficult after a 24-year-old woman named Effie accused the rape actor earlier this year.
At a press conference, she said Armie had mentally, physically and sexually abused her during their relationship. The main person however denied these comments and his lawyer insisted on the fact that the four years they spent together had been entirely consensual at all levels.
“It was never Mr. Hammer’s intention to embarrass or expose his fetishes or even his perverted desires, but she has now taken this matter to another level by hiring a civilian attorney to host a conference. public press release, “he said in a statement shared by Page Six. “With the truth on his side, Mr. Hammer is eager to clear things up.”
And while Armie has categorically denied all the accusations that have been leveled against him in recent months, his career already seems to be suffering from them as he had to leave the movie Shotgun Wedding at the last minute and was later replaced by Miles Teller in the Godfather series “The Offer”. The sequel to “Call me by your name” was also canceled, however the director did not say if his decision was prompted by the scandal surrounding Armie.
