Approval granted to four training centers and installation authorization
The Ministry of Sports and Recreation proceeded on 1is September 2023, the delivery of approval to 4 sports training centers and the granting of an authorization to create a sports training school. This constitutes official recognition from the supervisory ministry authorizing the recipients to practice freely and with complete peace of mind. The ceremony was chaired by the cabinet attaché of the said ministry, Mr. Lemou Longniwa.
After the Swallows center and Liberty Football Academy in Agbodrafo, four other sports training centers have just been officially recognized by the Ministry of Sports and Leisure. These are Haady Sport, the Gnelim Foot Sports Association, Kolgolo Football Academy and the ROMARIO Sports-Studies Complex which received their approval on Friday. It is therefore a new level that these four centers dedicated to the training of a new class of athletes have just crossed.
According to the chairman of the study committee for the granting of approval and authorization to create sports training centres, Mr. Ouro-Gandi Tchagnani, these four approved centers have met the criteria required by the supervisory ministry in the framework of the creation and operation of sports centers in Togo.
“The first part of the criteria relates to administrative documents. In particular, there is the supply of the receipt in terms of the creation of a sports association, the impact study documents for the construction of infrastructures, sports equipment and teaching materials. The second part consisted of the field visits that were made. The findings relate to the various sports facilities that these centers have and which must meet international standards (at least two football pitches)”.
This initiative of the Ministry of Sports and Recreation is part of the implementation of the decree setting the conditions for the creation, operation and granting of approval for sports training centers in Togo. This should allow the bearers to be more credible with the parents of the young boarders and also to have the confidence of the national and international partners on the quality of the training in these centres. These four centers will also benefit from specific support and attentive listening from the sports authority.
As for the MAARIF Sports Centre, which received the approval of the Ministry in charge of Sports for its creation, it will be monitored and accompanied throughout the process of its installation until the granting of its approval.
For Mr. Lemou Longniwa, the draft decree setting the conditions for the creation, operation and granting of approval to sports training centers in Togo aims to reorganize the sector for a quality, healthy and safe practice of physical activities. and sports.
