Huami, known as Zepp Health, has officially launched its new Amazfit T-Rex 2 smartwatch in China, which features a durable design and a larger battery than the previous model.

Amazfit T-Rex 2 retains the rugged and elegant design of its predecessor. It features a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 454×454 pixels, which makes content clear even in bright street lights. The watch weighs 66.5g including strap and has 15 military certifications. They can be used in extremely cold weather at ambient temperatures down to -30 °C. They also have a 10 ATM water resistance rating.

The T-Rex 2 features four stainless steel metal buttons that are sandblasted and etched and polished. The watch case is made of polymer alloy. The strap is made of antibacterial silicone material, which effectively reduces the chance of allergies. Internal moisture-wicking design keeps it dry and non-tacky.

The battery is another big change in the new Amazfit T-Rex 2. The new model has a capacity of 500 mAh, which is more than the 390 mAh capacity of the old model. With normal use, the watch can work up to 24 days, up to 10 days with intensive use, up to 58 hours in GPS mode, and up to 45 days in power saving mode.

The smartwatch comes with support for over 150 sports modes such as climbing, skiing, fishing and more. They can automatically track and record every workout.

In addition, the T-Rex 2 received a PPG heart rate sensor with blood oxygen monitoring and other health tracking features such as VO2 Max, sleep, etc. The watch supports five global satellite positioning systems, including Beidou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS. In addition to the L1 frequency band, the L5 frequency band has been added this time, which can reduce ionospheric and terrestrial multipath errors and improve the environmental impact on watch positioning.
