Almost 400 criminal cases opened in Kazakhstan after riots – RBK

In Kazakhstan, 388 criminal cases were opened after the riots, the presidential press service reported.

Cases were opened on the facts of murders, the use of violence against government officials, hooliganism and attacks on government buildings.

In addition, 412 pre-trial investigations have been launched, “including those on acts of terrorism and murder.” 2161 people were brought to administrative responsibility for violating the state of emergency.

In turn, the prosecution authorities, together with the Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition, continue checks against companies that are suspected of colluding in setting prices for liquefied gas.
