Alexis Crawford, a student at Clark Atlanta University, was strangled to death and her remains were placed in a plastic bin and thrown into a park, according to documents from the Fulton County Superior Court released Tuesday.
A few hours after a night race against alcohol, Crawford and his roommate, Jordyn Jones, fought in a physical fight in their off-campus apartment, according to court documents. Jones' boyfriend, Barron Brantley, is involved in the fight, according to documents.

The next day, Crawford's family reported his disappearance to the Atlanta police, who opened the second investigation into the old university in less than a week. On October 27, Crawford had informed the police that Brantley had sexually assaulted her in the apartment, according to an incident report.
After Crawford disappeared, Jones told the police that she did not know where her roommate was. On Friday, after a week-long search on Crawford, Brantley confessed to the investigators that he had choked her and killed her, according to court documents. Crawford's body was found Friday, police said.
Brantley, 21, was arrested Friday night and charged with murder. Jones, also 21, was arrested Saturday morning and charged with murder. Both were held without engagement on Tuesday morning at Fulton Prison.
Crawford's death shocked the community of Clark Atlanta, who held a candlelight vigil in his honor Sunday night. The Saturday funeral is scheduled in his hometown of Athens, according to Reverend Markel Hutchins, spokesman for the family.
