After Brad Pitt, this film icon also comes with a hint of goodbye

John Williams has been a big name in the film world for years. The composer provided the music for many major films. Now Williams thinks he will retire soon after completing his work on Indiana Jones 5.

“Right now I’m working on Indiana Jones 5, which I think Harrison Ford – who’s a lot younger than me – has announced will be his last film,” Williams began. “So I thought, ‘If Harrison can do it, then maybe I can’.”

“I don’t want to be seen as someone who categorically disables every activity,” said the smiling Williams who also hinted at his next challenge. “I can’t play tennis, but I want to be able to believe that maybe one day I will.”

Top composer with great successes
Born in 1932, Williams started making music for films and series as early as the 1950s. He worked a lot with Steven Spielberg.

Until now he has provided the music for films / franchises such as Star Wars, E.T., Superman, Indiana Jones, Jaws, Empire of the Sun, Saving Private Ryan, Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List, Home Alone in Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
