Yasushi Moriya, head of the accounting department of the Japanese Olympic Committee, died after an incident in the Tokyo subway. This is reported by the Japanese TV channel NTV.

The 52-year-old victim was taken to hospital, but, despite this, died two hours later.

The police speculate that Moria committed suicide. Because of what he could make such a decision, it is still unknown.

The Olympic Games were originally scheduled to take place from July 24 to August 9, 2020. However, due to the pandemic, the competition was postponed for a year. They will now take place from July 23 to August 8, 2021, while retaining the Tokyo 2020 name.

At the same time, the Games will be closed to foreign fans. And Japanese fans will have to present a document confirming vaccination or the result of a coronavirus test to attend the competition.
