This Sunday, September 3, a house in a district of Toulouse was stormed by a large group of squatters. The police intervened.
The security guard posted to monitor the uninhabited house for some time was no match for it. About fifty squatters barricaded themselves in this Toulouse dwelling this Sunday at the end of the afternoon indicates The Dispatch.
They then barricaded themselves inside to try to prevent any eviction attempts. A neighbor who went to meet them was violently attacked, add our colleagues.
Thirteen squatters arrested
When the police arrived on the spot, the squatters claimed to have been living in the house for several days, but videos taken by the security guard and neighbors contradicted their version, allowing the intervention of the police.
Thirteen squatters – “homeless or close to the extreme left movement”, according to witnesses interviewed by The Dispatch– were taken into custody for “home invasion” and assault. They deny for the moment any violence on the neighbor.
