Simple measures can prevent birds from slamming into the glass

Have you ever held a live bird in your hand? me first no, twice Once we were allowed to assist an ornithology team in Seewinkel in Burgenland with a bird ringing. And once it was a sparrow from our garden that I held in my hands. The poor tree sparrow had slammed against the window pane and lay motionless on the grass. I picked him up and he rested in my cupped hands. I was so happy when it flew away again that I didn’t realize the poop it left in my hand until much later.
