Researchers from Qingdao University of China conducted a 2018 study, during which they examined the role of vitamin D in sleep. Their analysis identified important links between low levels of vitamin D and poor sleep, and they also found that low levels of vitamin D are associated with poor sleep quality. .

The researchers pointed out that paying attention to the diet is the solution, as the British Health Services identified a list of foods that contain healthy levels of vitamin D, and include oily fish such as salmon, sardines, herring and mackerel, as well as red meat and egg yolks. It is noteworthy that in the winter, our immune systems work very hard to try to protect us from the various viruses circulating around us, and eating a healthy and balanced diet can help the immune system function.

And the British National Health Service warned that vitamin D deficiency can lead to bone deformities and pain, so it is recommended to take supplements containing this vitamin in the winter and autumn when the time for exposure to sunlight is reduced. In the same context, the National Health Service recommended that no more than 4,000 international units (100 micrograms) of vitamin D be consumed in the daily diet.
