Regularly this season, travel has required increased vigilance for the police. For Emmanuel Desjars, general commissioner of police in Lens, these fan movements should quite simply be prohibited: “At some point, you have to ask yourself if we should not ban travel at all”, he suggested during an interview with the Voice of the North.

A radical idea that the commissioner justified: “Fed up with mobilizing police forces for that. We tried to separate them (the supporters, editor’s note) into stands, it doesn’t work. There are a handful that deprives everyone of a good show. And some no longer go to the stadium because of them. While the policeman takes care of the supporters, he does not do anything else”, laments Emmanuel Desjars. If the season was marked by numerous overflows and recurring sanctions, regulatory changes are planned in order to guarantee the good performance of the meetings.
