The DesertX concept adapted as standard with the 937 cc V2
Presentation of the 2022 vintage from September 30
During the EICMA show in Milan 2019, Ducati notably distinguished itself with the launch of the Streetfighter V4. But the Bologna manufacturer had also accompanied the novelties of its 2020 vintage with two concepts derived from the Scrambler 800 with the Motard, a simple restyling of the Icon in a supermotard way and especially with the DesertX.
Very different from the Scrambler, the Concept DesertX drew its inspiration from the world of rallies to offer a real high-legged trail. Good news for bikers looking for a real trail, the concept will move on to series.
And since it will be a real trail and not a road with a trail look, there are going to be changes.
The transalpine manufacturer has so far only revealed some information on its new trail “Adventure” via two pictures which suggest a few lines.
We can see that the general line of the motorcycle has been preserved, with its double LED front headlight, its high screen or even its wide trim and its large 21-inch spoke wheel.
On the other hand, the links with the scrambler have been abandoned since Ducati promises the use of a completely new frame as well as the Testastretta V-twin of 937 cm3.
To know all the details of this 2022 novelty, you will have to wait until December 9. Ducati will also start its presentation campaign from Thursday, September 30 by presenting a video every two weeks on a specific range or model. The titles of these videos also suggest some clues as to the novelties, Multistrada, Streetfighter and Panigale should not be spared.
