Focus Entertainment will release A Plague Tale: Requiem on October 18. The game from Asobo Studio is the successor to A Plague Tale: Innocence from 2019. The game was created by the French studio that also has Microsoft Flight Simulator to its name.
The story of A Plague Tale: Requiem builds on the first part. Set in France during the Spanish Inquisition, the game revolves around sister and brother Amicia and Hugo, who must flee and rescue their loved ones.
The publisher and developer show a new extended gameplay trailer of over 12 minutes. In it, the main characters can be seen in a quarry, where they have to stay out of the hands of soldiers who try to catch them.
A Plague Tale: Requiem is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC. A cloud version for Nintendo Switch is also coming. The game will also be available immediately through Xbox Game Pass subscriptions for PC and consoles upon release on October 18. The PC version of the game will get options for ray tracing and Nvidia DLSS.
The PC version comes out on Steam for $50. The console versions have a suggested retail price of 60 euros. There will also be a Collector’s Edition featuring a figurine of Amicia and Hugo and several other physical items. That version costs 190 euros.
