The Governor of the Nile River, Muhammed Al-Badawi Abdel-Majid, affirmed the state’s citizen’s readiness to join the ranks of the armed forces in defense of land and honor. In front of the gate of the 3rd Infantry Division in Shendi in support of the armed forces, he appreciated the efforts of the armed forces as they confronted the rebellion with courage and valor. He added, “We say to Al-Burhan, if we were to cross the sea, we would have fought it with you.” The Governor of the Nile River announced the state’s masses’ readiness to lead the victory procession to the General Command in the near future, the first of which will be in Khartoum and the last of which will be in Atbara. The governor confirmed the stability of the security situation in the state with the availability of the necessary commodities, denying the existence of a crisis in any of them
In the same context, the leaders and activists of the Shendi and Al-Mutama localities handed over the command of the 3rd Infantry Division to the support convoy, which includes foodstuffs and local products.
