O the last weekend in may will be marked by a lot of heat throughout the country, with the thermometers exceeding 30ºC in practically the entire continental territory on Sunday.
This Friday will be good weather, with a forecast of mostly cloudy skies and temperature rise
maximum in the Central coast and in the South region. The maximums today will oscillate between 32ºC in Évora, 31ºC in Beja, 29ºC in Lisbon, 26ºC in Faro and 20ºC in Porto.
On Saturday, temperatures will continue to rise and on Sunday it is expected that almost the entire continental territory will pass 30ºC (exception only for Porto, which will reach 24ºC, Aveiro, Leiria, Viana do Castelo and Guarda, which will record maximum 26ºC, 27ºC and 28ºC, respectively).
Baixo Alentejo will have the highest temperature on Sunday, with Beja expected to reach 36ºC. Évora should have 35ºC, Santarém with 34ºC, as well as Portalegre and Castelo Branco. According to forecasts by meteorologists, the thermometers in Lisbon will set 32ºC on Sunday, as well as in Braga. Bragança, Vila Real, Viseu and Coimbra should reach 30ºC maximum.
If the beach is in your weekend plans, remember that the rules of the current bathing season (distance and wearing a mask to the beach) are already in effect and that your non-compliance provides for the imposition of fines.
In the autonomous regions, in Funchal the maximum expected, on Sunday, is 24ºC, and in Porto Santo 22ºC, with clouds in the mix. In the Azores, the maximums will oscillate, in all the islands, between 20ºC and 23ºC, with no rain forecast, but with a partially cloudy sky.
