A game for Balkan Orphans

Sunday from 12:00 will take place in Carouge a humanitarian football match, in favor of the orphans of the Balkans. Several big names in football will be present such as Johan Djourou, Gael Clichy, Lorik Cana or Shkodran Mustafi.

A match with a team from Geneva led by Michel Pont, against an Albanian-inspired team led by Bernard Challandes. All this, so that 100% of the day’s receipts go to the “Orphans of the Balkans” association. A large presence of the Albanian community is expected on Sunday at La Fontenette. Beyond the match, it is a real day of celebration which is programmed with other activities, such as traditional dances and the music of the famous Balkan singer Capital T.

Alban Arifi, co-organizer of this humanitarian match tells the story of the birth of the event and thanks the support of the local Carouge authorities. The goal was to place the day under the sign of solidarity by having a festive afternoon. The match will be played at the Fontenette stadium and entry to the venue will cost 5.- around the lawn and 30.- for seats in the stands. Alban Arifi specifies that between 3,500 and 4,000 people are expected.
