The ghosts flew over again at the Palau when Mike James brought Monaco to just three points with five minutes left (65-62). The Catalans had squandered an income of 15 points (56-41, min 22) in just thirteen minutes. But a good final rush, with Satoransky (15 points) and Higgins (12 points) as protagonists, allowed Barça to win against the Monegasque team (80-70).

It was not a comfortable match for Barça, who were very good in the first half, dominating the match with Abrines’ three-pointers and the Jokubaitis-Vesely connection (12+7+3). The Catalans went 11 up at the intermission (50-39), and got 15 up after two triples by Sanli and Abrines as soon as the third period began (56-41). But Monaco, a tough team where they exist, applied themselves behind and gradually narrowed the gap to 65-62 (min 35). There, the local success and the losses of Obradovic’s men, while James despaired on the parquet, tipped the balance in favor of Barça.

With this victory, Jasikevicius’ men consolidate themselves in the Top 4 of the Euroleague with 17 victories, opening a two-game cushion with Monaco (plus average). The court factor in the Playoffs, a little closer.
