3,018 officials will provide security in Loja for a holiday

The Contingency Plan to be executed during the holiday for May 24 will begin this Friday the 26th and will end on the 28th of this month.

Lindon García, Police Intendant General, pointed out that 3,018 officials will be activated during these days. “We have a full contingent to intervene in any emergency,” he emphasized.

The head of the Loja district of the National Police, Roberto Campoverde, indicated that police actions will be carried out in the 16 cantons of the province of Loja, in order for the inhabitants and visitors to carry out their activities normally. “1,142 police officers, 125 patrol cars, 134 motorcycles, five heavy vehicles and one ambulance will be available to the entire provincial territory.”

Likewise, the Police will comply with operations in land terminals, road axes, tourist centers, spas, nightlife centers, among others. He requested that citizens make use of the portfolio of services, such as transfer of values, community chat, address order and activation of security buttons.

For his part, Mario Benavides, zonal coordinator of the Secretariat for Risks and Emergencies, said that 14 officials will remain on alert 24/7 for monitoring and immediate response in case of emergencies. Likewise, he suggested that citizens review their vehicles, routes, and documents before traveling, considering the winter season. (YO)
