Vienna – Thursday, 09.09.2021, 10:55 a.m.
The SKN St. Pölten reacts to the false start in the new season of the Admiral 2nd League and retrofits again. The Lower Austrians sign Kresimir Kovacevic, who was last without a club. The 27-year-old receives a one-year contract with the “Wolves” with an option for another season.
The Croat is no stranger to Austria – he already played in Bad Tatzmannsdorf, for TSV Hartberg and in spring 2020 at SV Lafnitz. Most recently he was in Cyprus with Ermis Aradippou, the club was relegated to the second division in the summer.
The striker scored six goals in 14 games during his time in Lafnitz.
Head coach Stephan Helm says: “Kresimir is a physically very robust player whose strengths are in securing the ball and distributing it in the last third. In addition, he has a lot of penetration for the offensive. With him we have now found that piece of the puzzle to optimize the squad that we were still missing. “
