The “2023 Facial Equality Movement-Taipei National Highway Marathon” will start at 5:30 am on the 12th. The number of participants is expected to be about 10,260. All lanes of the 1-kilometer section will be closed and controlled, and vehicles will not be allowed to pass. If Taishan, Wugu, and Luzhou Districts of New Taipei City want to use National 1 vehicles to go north, it is recommended to change the route as follows:

1. Vehicles originally traveling northbound on State 1 (including the elevated road) and northbound on Wugu Interchange will be diverted to the northbound section of State 1 level road.
2. Vehicles going north on the elevated embankment interchange should enter the expressway via the Neihu interchange instead.
The New Taipei City Police Department appeals that although this activity does not use the roads in the urban area of New Taipei City, it will indirectly affect the surrounding roads of the National 1 Wugu Interchange. Motor traffic at Penglai intersection, Yongan Bridge (Zhongyuan intersection), Huandi Avenue (Yongkang intersection), Xinwu Road Fengjiang intersection, etc. Passers-by passing through the above road sections should obey the command and guidance of police officers on duty and traffic control personnel to maintain smooth and safe traffic on the active road section, and pay attention to the display of expressway information variable signs at any time. You can also call 1968 (customer service line) and listen to the police Radio stations, or visit the freeway bureau’s global information website (www.freeway.gov.tw) to learn about the latest regulatory information.
