Among other things, the lack of a basis for planning due to Corona led to the cancellation last year. One is bursting with anticipation, the organizers now write on their homepage. The 20th anniversary, which should have taken place in 2020, is now being celebrated. With around 30 acts, which will play as usual on the stages in the middle of the village on the Pinka, which belongs to the district of Güssing.
Mix of styles as usual
The organizers made the mix of styles across all genres the hallmark of the festival. As early as Thursday, August 11th, there will be an opening party at the campsite with the Austrian rock formation Igel vs. Shark, among others. It continues on Friday, August 12 with Marla Glen, rock bands New Model Army and Steaming Satellites, and brass band Moop Mama. Saturday, August 13th features the punk band Anti-Flag, the ska fun group Gnackwatschn and an Austrian “surprise headliner”.
Hungarian bands should not be missing
They not only want to build up musical diversity, but also break down borders in Bildein, which is why the festival is being organized together with a Hungarian partner club. Hungarian bands shouldn’t be missing either: Gypo Circus, Nest of Plagues and ZPZ will be in southern Burgenland from Thursday to Saturday. Burgenlanders are also on stage with Monokay, Sterz and Lurch.
The festival is sold out, tickets for 2020 remain valid. If you are still looking for tickets, you can try your luck at the official online ticket exchange.
