A farm in the Bavarian community of Mamming is under quarantine.
After a corona infection on a large farm in Mamming in Lower Bavaria, almost 500 people are quarantined and are no longer allowed to leave the company. A security service monitors the ban on going out. A total of 174 harvest helpers were tested positive for the corona pathogen Sars-Cov2 during the screening, as the Dingolfing-Landau district office announced on Saturday evening.
“To avoid further spread, we unfortunately have to take this step to protect the population,” said District Administrator Werner Bumeder. Previously, seven employees had been infected in the company – this was the reason for the series test.
The CSU politician appealed to the citizens to remain calm: “According to our information, it is a closed group of people.” In the yard, infected and uninfected employees were separated. Local media first reported on this.
