On Friday, the police stopped two speeders who were driving around the Oensingen SO region at far too high a speed.
The speeders were reported to police around 9 p.m. A patrol from the Solothurn canton police was able to stop and check the reported vehicle. It turned out that the two vehicle occupants, 20-year-old and 21-year-old, drove the sports car alternately. Both drove at around 160 km/h, with 50 km/h being the maximum speed indicated.
One of the two drivers also did not have a valid driver’s license and was temporarily arrested for further clarification. The sports car also had defects and was seized for further investigation. (gf)
