15th anniversary of death: Heath Ledger was so successful in Hollywood

January 22 is a sad day for all fans of Hollywood star Heath Ledger (✝28): In January 2008, the Oscar winner was found lifeless in his apartment in New York’s Lower Manhattan. The autopsy at the time revealed that the cause of death was prescription drug abuse — an accident, the coroner’s assessment at the time. Today marks the anniversary of the death of Heath for the 15th time: on this occasion, Promiflash looks back on the successful career and life of the celebrated actor.

Born in Australia, he was an actor on the theater stage from an early age. However, he only celebrated his big breakthrough in 2000 with his leading role in the film “Knights of Passion”. For the project “Brokeback Mountain” would Heath then won several major prizes and was nominated for an Oscar as best leading actor, among other things.
